Art Influences and Passion:
As an artist, my body of work often uses graphic illustration painting, drawing, and fabric to explore time, memory, and people within the environment and culture. I am interested in depicting places, characters, relationships, and emotions between people within this context.
I use digital drawing, pen, ink, and paper to create most of my work. I am influenced by Chris Ware, Marjane Satrapi, Norman Rockwell, Edward Hopper, Jennifer and Matthew Holm, and N.C Wyeth. These artists create work requiring visual literacy and encourage viewers to assess imagery for narrative elements, and in my work, I hope to evoke creative space and exploration similarly.
Like the artists' works that influence me, I want viewers to immerse themselves in the world I have created. In my work, I am interested in people and how they interact with each other. I will continue exploring this theme in my work using digital and physical mediums.
